BWL has given a £310 boost to a charity dedicated to tackling heart disease and helping people with heart conditions.

Members presented a cheque to the British Heart Foundation’s Fundraising Manager for Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Helena Mair, at its January meeting at Langleys Solicitors in Doddington Road, Lincoln.

The money was raised thanks to a bumper raffle at BWL’s Christmas Luncheon at the Washingborough Hall Hotel, where generous members and guests were more than happy to support the charity.

Helena said the welcome funds would support the BHF Lincoln Heart City initiative, assisting the Mending Broken Hearts Appeal – a research programme aimed at helping to end the suffering caused by heart failure
and also back the work of heart nurses within the local community.
