Dear Ladies,

As it is the beginning of our new year, I thought that I would write to introduce myself as chair of Business Womens Link, and Jayne, as vice chair.

My name is Jo Richardson and I run the small business unit at Wright Vigar Chartered Accountants. I have been in accountancy for over 21 years and specialise in new and growing businesses. I have been on the working group of Business Womens Link for the last 4 years, in the role of treasurer and latterly, vice chair.

Jayne Allman is now vice chair who is employed by the Priory Federation of Acadmies and has worked there for the past 18 months.  Jayne was previously employed as Human Resources Manager for HCUK, Hull, Harrogate and Goole College  and has been on the working group for Business Womens Link for just a year.

We are both looking forward to the coming year at Business Womens Link. Memberships are now up for renewal and I am pleased to say that we are up on this time last year.

The working group are busy planning the events for the next year. Details of these are on the website and you will be informed by email on a timely basis. The May event is Corsage Making by Flowers Way and this will be followed in July by our popular summer lunch.

I would like to thank all the working group members in advance for their contribution over the next year and I also welcome Sue Van Zyl from Lincoln College who has joined us this year.

Finally, a big thank you to our outgoing chair, Rachel May, for all the work done over the past year. You will be missed Rachel.

Hope to see you all over the coming months.

Jo and Jayne.
