Top Team of Women Leaders at IoD East Midlands event
Derbyshire-born businesswoman celebrity Saira Khan will be among a top team of women leaders at an Institute of Directors (IoD) East Midlands event in Nottingham later this month.
Saira Khan, who rose to fame in the first BBC TV series of The Apprentice, is now a regular television presenter and is Managing Director of her own company miamoo which makes a luxury range of skincare products.
She will join other entrepreneurial women at the inaugural Women as Leaders Convention at the Nottingham Conference Centre on Friday 27 March. These will include Heather Mayfield, Chief Executive of the Nottingham Castle Trust, Joanne Wooler-Ward, Group Manager of Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Services, Leicestershire entrepreneur Rachel Hargrave of RDZ PR and the IoD’s Lisa Buckingham, Senior Policy Advisor on Diversity.
Ron Lynch, IoD East Midlands Regional Director said: “This event will celebrate and support successful women in business in the East Midlands and encourage more female executive talent.” He added that the event is being held on the closing date (27 March) for applications for this year’s IoD East Midlands Regional Director of the Year awards.
