Do you know an outstanding individual, impressive organisation or successful company which is worthy of receiving Lincoln’s most highly-prized honour?

The search is underway to track down the 2014 winner of the Lincoln Civic Award, which is presented annually to a person, charity or company, which has – in the opinion of the Award Trustees – brought credit to the City of Lincoln.

Their achievement may have taken the form of a single act or reflect their performance over a period of time. The winner will be presented with the striking silver accolade at a glittering ceremony in Lincoln’s Guildhall.

Previous winners include Running Imp International, Lincoln City Football Club, The Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, Radio Lincolnshire, the Lincolnshire Echo, Micrometric Techniques’ founder Dr Maurice Gates, the sports presenter and speaker John Inverdale and The Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia.

You can find out more by going online and registering your suggestion(s) at www.lincoln.gov.uk/civic or by popping into Ruddocks in High Street, Lincoln and picking-up an entry form which should be delivered to City Hall, Beaumont Fee, Lincoln, by post or in person.

Entries close at 12 noon on Friday, March 7, 2014.
